SURYA On Grid Domestic Rooftop Solar PV Power Plants.

Grid-Tied systems use PV panels to generate DC power. The DC power goes to a grid interactive (grid-tied) inverter which converts the PV panel DC power to 240 volt AC power that is compatible with the Power grid. The power from the PV panels goes (via the grid tie inverter) to supply the household power needs.

If the PV system is generating more power than the house can use, the excess is sent out over the grid to supply others. If the house needs more power than the PV system can supply, then the extra Is drawn from the grid as usual.

Advantages of ON GRID PLANTS?

  • Lowest initial cost (because there is no need for batteries and charge controller)
  • Lowest ongoing maintenance cost (no batteries to maintain and replace)
  • Simplest to install
  • Most efficient (because there are losses associated with charging batteries)
  • You can start small and add (with some limitations)

What are the Advantages?

  • Provides power independently.
  • You still have power when the the grid is down.
  • Don't have to deal with the utility company.
  • Can save significantly on initial cost if a long grid extension is needed.
  • Really encourages conservation and efficiency in the use of electricity.
  • Off-grid people typically get along on far less power than on grid and do it without any significant life style changes

SURYA Domestic, Commercial & Industrial Solar Water Heaters

Solar Water Heating system is a proven technology and economically most attractive application of Solar Energy. There is thus tremendous scope for saving all kinds of fuel which is being used for water heating applications through the use of Solar Thermal Devices. Based on the Solar Collector type, Solar Water Heaters are broadly categorized of two types.

Salient Features of Solar Water Heaters:

Fuel Savings A 100 liters capacity SWH can replace an electric geyser for residential use and saves 1500 units of electricity annually.
Average utility cost on generation The use of 1000 Solar Water Heaters of 100 liters capacity each can contribute to a peak load saving of 1 MW.
Environmental benefits A Solar Water Heater of 100 liters capacity can prevent emission of 1.5 tones of Co2/Year
Life & Payback Period 20-25 Years
3-4 years when electricity is replaced
4-5 years when furnace oil is replaced
5-6 years when coal is replaced

The rated capacity of individual aero generator unit that can be used in a hybrid system will be to a maximum of 30 KW each.

SURYA Domestic, Agricultural & Commercial Solar Pumping Systems.

Awesome Image

The system operates on power generated using solar PV (photovoltaic) system. The photovoltaic array converts the solar energy into electricity, which is used for running the motor pump set. The pumping system draws water from the open well, bore well, stream, pond, canal etc. The system requires a shadow-free area for installation of the Solar panel.

Advantages of a Solar Water Pumping System:

  • No fuel cost - as it uses available free sun light
  • No electricity required
  • Long operating life
  • Highly reliable and durable
  • Easy to operate and maintain
  • Eco-friendly
